Here is a great stained glass chandelier that dates from around 1905-1910. It’s in excellent condition with no cracked, broken or repaired panels which is quite remarkable for a leaded glass fixture this old. The center dome is made up of approximately 150 pieces of glass….most of which are curved. The pattern is a sort of spider web motif which is accented with pale amber slag glass. This type of pattern was popular at the turn of the century and can often be found on Arts & Crafts lighting. All four satellite shades are also in excellent condition. The majority of the glass is white opal slag glass with pale amber accents.
All the hardware is original to the fixture and still retains it’s deep gold polychrome finish. The chandelier has a total drop 23 at the moment. The overall spread or diameter is about 25″. The center dome measures 18″ in diameter….each drop shade is 5″ in diameter by about 4 1/2″ tall. The fixture has a total of six lights….two in the bowl and four drops. period chandeliers of this quality and caliber are becoming very rare and this is one of the best examples we’ve had in some time.
