Pair of Cast Iron Porch Lights

This is a pair of cast iron wall sconces that date from the early 1900s. They have been completely refurbished, sand blasted and painted with rustproof paint. The back plates have a lovely egg and dart border which is a very traditional architectural element of the period. The egg and dart pattern is said to represents life and death. These sconces can be mounted shades pointing up or shades pointing down. They are outfitted with a beautiful pair of ribbed frosted glass shades.
