Early 1900s Arts & Crafts Mission Sconce Light

A great Arts & Crafts sconce that dates from around the late 1800s – early 1900s. It’s all hand made from wrought iron and slag glass. It is rather large and would look great hung either way….shade up or shade down. It is very well crafted and the skill of whoever made it is evident throughout. It was constructed using the old school method of blacksmithing with riveted and banded construction. When found it was rather rusty so we sand-blasted it and painted it flat black. All the green slag glass is original and it has some great colors running throughout.

It is rewired and ready to go. It measures about 21″ from the bottom of the back plate to the top of the shade. The back plate itself is about 12″ long by 5 1/2″ across at the widest point. The shade itself is about 12″ in diameter and 8″ tall. Lovely shape and form….a true gem.
