Maria Theresa Style Crystal Chandelier

This is an outstanding crystal chandelier in the Maria Teresa style. The Empress Maria Theresa, Archduchess of Austria in the 18th century, is noted by historians as the inspiration for the Maria Theresa style chandelier. This elegant chandelier is remincisent of the Baroque era which lasted from 1600-1750. Apparently, the Empress was truly impressed with the stunning beauty of the crystal chandeliers of Louis XV’s court while making a visit of state to France. As a result of her stay, the Empress commissioned similar models built and installed in her Vienna Palace. The rest is history.

This particular chandelier dates from the 1930s and is in excellent condition. It has thirteen lights all together. Each of the four arms branch out into three lights (two lower, one upper) plus you have a light in the center. This chandelier looks spectacular when lit. Available for pick up only.
